Baldwin Lake Elementary joined us at the Discovery Center for a fun-filled TK field trip featuring animal tracking, nature walks, camouflage lessons, and story time with Kathie. The kids had an amazing day and our educators absolutely rocked it.

Programs like this create real community synergy, giving UCC young adults hands-on experience leading environmental education while inspiring the next generation to connect with nature.

Schools can sign up for field trips through the link in our bio, and families can also check out our Junior Ranger Program, guided activities, and other public events happening throughout the season.

Earlier this month we welcomed Loma Linda Senior Living to the Big Bear Discovery Center!

Their visit began with a tour of our interpretive displays, led by our amazing volunteer Sand, and wrapped up with hands-on bird-themed fun for the whole family.

Pinecone Birdfeeders and Making Animal Tracks were a hit - sparking curiosity, creativity, and connection with nature. It’s always a joy to share the magic of our forest with new friends of all ages!

A big thank you to Loma Linda Senior Living for joining us, and to our volunteers and team for making it such a special visit.
