The City of Fayette will be joining communities throughout the nation in hosting a public reading of the Declaration of Independence on the 250th anniversary of its first public reading in Philadelphia in 1776. Please join us on the Fayette County Courthouse lawn at 5:00 p.m. this Wednesday, July 8th.

We join communities all across these United States of America in celebrating the 250th Anniversary of our country. The beautiful Fayette County Courthouse is participating in “Light to Unite” in support of the National Flag Foundation. These lights will be on each evening through July 4th.
