Thanks to some beneficial suggestions on my last post, I did some research and found solutions to the traffic issue. This post has detailed info, feel free to share to spread the word to other drivers. Comment your progress with this along with the buses. My hope is we can get quick action to not have to deal with this traffic problem for long, before something bad has to happen.

In regards to the most efficient way for the two New Century School Buses to travel to and from the schools: call CCS Transportation. Request the buses travel the back bus entrance that circles around NCIMS and connects New Century Circle to the old Strickland Bridge Rd.
Utilizing that route reduces drive time, because turning left from the old Strickland Bridge onto Stoney Point Rd does not cross any train tracks (that all bus drivers are supposed to stop and check conditions before they cross); if they use New Century left on Stoney Point, they cross the train tracks twice to get to the same point. Also, with the staggered school day times of the two schools, this helps alleviate the buses getting congested.

Executive Director, Kristi Harden, 910-910-678-2581
Area Transportation Supervisor for our area, Kimberly Galbreth, 910-678-2691
Then, come back and let us know what they tell you, and maybe if enough people do this, they will change it quickly, if that isn't already the plan. (Idk, I'm not a bus driver. But if some of us call tomorrow and they tell us that is already the plan, we don't have to continue our efforts there.

Now, regarding the New Century/Stoney Point intersection:
*Found on the city's website*
Q-How do I request a new traffic signal installation?
A-You can call and place a request for a new traffic signal to the Traffic Services Division at 910-433-1660
During congestion: call 911 (it is both emergent and non-emergent in Fayetteville) to request an officer to come out to direct traffic. If enough of us do this every day it occurs (so Monday-Friday, morning and afternoon next week when the line starts getting backed up more than 5 vehicles, they should send out an officer to direct traffic.
