Welcome to the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department (FVFD) page! We would like to Thank You, The People of the Community, for all the support. This page is to update and inform of the upcoming events, severe weather advisement, and past and current incidents occurring in the Community and surrounding areas which FVFD responds to. is a 100% volunteer Fire and Rescue service that responds to a lar

ge variety of both Emergency and Non-emergency calls, provides mutual aid to surrounding areas, and provides Fire Prevention information demonstrations upon request. FVFD provides Fire and Rescue services with a fleet of 5 Units including: Engine 7-1 -- 2002 Pierce Dash, Engine 7-2 -- 1995 Pierce Dash, Rescue Squad 7 -- 2010 Seagrave Heavy Rescue, Brush 7 -- 2012 Ford F-350, and Utility 7 -- 2012 Dodge Ram 2500. FVFD has a dedicated, hardworking, and proud group of members that includes Jr Members 14 - 17 y/o and Senior Members 18 y/o and up. Applications are available upon request at the station. FVFD is also very proud and works directly along side with our paid 24/7 Emergency Medical Services - Technicians and Paramedics who are well trained and versed in their field, more information about FVFD EMS can be found on the FVFD EMS page. We remind you to check your smoke detectors and batteries and encourage you to wear your seat belt. Smoke Detectors are available upon request at the Fire Station. Special thanks to West End Fire & Rescue Company for having an engine transfer to Fayetteville while we have our annual pump testing done on Engine 7-2.

Pump testing is critical to ensure that our 31 year old fire engine can pump at the capacity required. This test usually takes a few hours, and since we have a few more months till our new Seagrave Engine comes in, West End was gracious enough to provide an Engine and crew to cover our first due.

We are prepping fresh corn for our chicken corn soup today. This corn will be used at our fall festival as well as next years carnival for chicken corn soup. Past Chief Lenherr took on the duties for cutting all 500 dozen ears of corn off himself!

First Due Fire 🔥

At 14:27hrs Company 7 along with mutual aid were alerted to K**b Hill Road in Greene Twp for a garage fire. Chief 7 arrived on scene finding a vehicle on fire inside a garage. Engine 7-2 arrived and quickly got a knock on the fire keeping the fire contained to the garage area. All occupants had evacuated prior to FD arrival. Engine 13-2’s crew located one pet alive and well inside the house. The assignment was quickly scaled back to Companies 7, 13, Ladder 42, and Rescue 15 for overhaul.

Overnight Rescue 7 responded to Broad Street in Chambersburg for a dwelling fire. Rescue 7 was assigned RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) for the duration of the incident. Crews found a kitchen fire with hoarding conditions. Rescue 7 operated for 1.5hrs before being released by Command 1.

Yesterday evening, Company 7 and West End Fire & Rescue Company were alerted to Interstate 81 N in the area of Exit 20 for a vehicle accident. A/C7-1 arrived to find a single vehicle into the cable barrier with one minor injury.

As seen in this picture, the cable barriers have prevented countless crossover crashes that could’ve resulted in serious injuries or fatalities.

Special thanks to the Professional Firefighters of IAFF Local F-170 for supplying an engine to assist with some drivers training today. Engine 7-2 met up with Engine 13-2 in Scotland today to practice drafting, supplying, and flowing multiple lines. FVFD has multiple drivers in training that have to go through an extensive 20hr+ training program before being turned over to drive.

Engine 7-2 w/4 and Tanker 13 from Professional Firefighters of IAFF Local F-170 are operating at IESI on Orchard Road for a trash trailer on fire.

While we are operating on this incident, Engine 15-1 from West End Fire & Rescue Company is covering the Ville.
