💙 MEN EXPERIENCE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE TOO 💙

Domestic violence can happen to anyone—including men.

Men may experience physical, emotional, verbal, financial, or psychological abuse, but fear of judgment or stigma can make it harder to speak up.

Believe them. Support them. Listen without judgment.

Abuse is never okay—regardless of gender.

💜 Connecting Families to Resources & Hope 💜

Promise Place was proud to participate in the Multi-County Annual Resource Expo, hosted by SHASNA (Stable Housing and Special Needs Agency) and Southern Crescent Technical College .

Ms. Lynne Green and Promise Place volunteers Sandie Driskell, Asiyah Massar, and Lateisha Howard (pictured left to right) joined community partners to connect families facing crisis with resources and services to help create stability.

We’re grateful to be part of a community committed to helping families thrive! 💜

Promise Place staff and volunteers recently participated in a Nonprofit Volunteer Day with Clothes Less Traveled Nonprofit Thrift Shop !

We had the opportunity to learn more about how CLT operates, connect with their team and other local nonprofit organizations, and most importantly, give back to our community together.

Clothes Less Traveled is a nonprofit thrift store and community resource that supports local charitable organizations by providing funding and resources to help them continue their missions.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn, serve, and build stronger connections with fellow community organizations. 💜

💜 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ISN’T ALWAYS PHYSICAL 💜

Nearly 39 million women in the U.S. have experienced psychological aggression by an intimate partner during their lifetime—including behaviors such as controlling, intimidating, or isolating them.

Abuse can happen without leaving a bruise.

Control is not love. Fear is not love. You deserve better.

If you or someone you know needs support, Promise Place is here to help.
