Looks like this year is a lot like last year in some regards…. but with half the staff, twice the funerals and an extra tree down in the storm just to spice things up.
As always, we are closely monitoring the situation and we are aware of the work that needs to be done from the rain we have had over the past several days.
Hurricanes and tropical storms are never fun and we have to unfortunately use a triage type system to decide what happens first. Usually, funerals come first, but we had a HUGE tree come down and it was a danger to all. Next, we have maintenance orders in and we are just waiting on the ground to dry up a bit for those of you waiting for memorials to be installed.
We can’t mow in the rain, so if it seems like the grass is long in some areas, that is because it is. Our dedicated grounds staff is working 7 days a week to keep up with it all.
Next time you are out, thank one of them for sticking with us when others chose to go home and “stay safe” with extra, special unemployment benefits.
If you notice something that needs attention please do not hesitate to give us a call, message or email to inform us. We will add it to our list of maintenance orders and take care of it as soon as humanly possible. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
FYI: We are also hiring. We need grounds staff desperately! So, if you know anyone who would like to be part of our family, have them call or apply online today!
Hey! Kayla here. So... Just checked the weather and am I delusional or did it say rain is on the forecast for as far as ten days out?! Have we not had enough?! I am not complaining about the cooler weather it has brought or the beautiful sounds against the window panes, but at the cemetery it has made it rough to take care of our maintenance orders. We want every one to know we are closely monitoring the situation and we are aware of the work that needs to be done from the rain we have had over the past several days. We have maintenance orders in and we are just waiting on the ground to dry up a bit. If you notice something that needs attention please do not hesitate to give us a call, message or email to inform us. We will add it to our list of maintenance orders and take care of it as soon as weather permits. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
