Come make a splash and stay cool with us on Labor Day!

The Spray Pad at City Center Park (located at 210 Stonewall Avenue West, Fayetteville, GA 30214) will be OPEN on Labor Day, Monday, September 7th from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Spray Pad will remain open for the month of September (Saturdays and Sundays only) from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will officially close for the season on September 27th at 7 p.m.

Grant Awarded for Fayetteville Visitor Center!

The Fayette County Development Authority announced the recipients of its Partners in Success Grant Program for FY27, awarding $1.5 million to five transformative projects across Fayette County. Now in its fourth year, the Partners in Success Grant Program continues to serve as a powerful vehicle for reinvesting in the infrastructure, heritage, innovation, and community strength that make Fayette County an exceptional place to live, work, and grow.

The City of Fayetteville was awarded a $300,000 matching grant for the Fayetteville Visitor Center. This investment supports the development of a destination visitor experience in the heart of Fayetteville, designed to welcome residents and guests alike and serve as a hub for tourism, local commerce, and community engagement. The Visitor Center reflects Fayetteville's growing identity as a destination city and will strengthen the economic energy of the county's seat.

City of Fayetteville offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Solid waste collection services will be delayed by one day this week. Wednesday customers will be serviced on Thursday, and Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday.

Notice is hereby given that the Fayetteville City Council Meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 3, 2026, has been cancelled due to a lack of quorum.

The next City Council Meeting will be held Thursday, September 17, 2026. Information regarding the rescheduling of any agenda items will be provided in accordance with applicable notice requirements.
