💜 Some people spend their lives serving others without ever asking for anything in return. Our own Lt. Jim is exactly that kind of person.

Jim has been a firefighter since 2009 and has served as Lieutenant at Stoney Point Fire Department since 2012. As a volunteer fire officer, he has dedicated himself to this community time and time again, always putting others before himself.

Many of you are aware of the courageous battle Jim is currently fighting against cancer. He has shown incredible strength, but this fight comes with real costs that add up quickly.

Jim would never ask for help himself, so we are asking for him.

Memorial Day is not just the start of summer, but it is an important day of remembrance for the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

At Stoney Point Fire Department, we are humbled by the courage of our fallen military heroes. Their devotion to protecting our freedom is a reminder of why we answer the call to serve our own community every single day.

Today we remember. Today we honor. Today we are grateful.

Rest easy, heroes. We've got it from here. 🕯🫡

🚒👋 This morning we have FF Jacob Wiley and FF Evan Reaster who are attending the recruiting event at the Dirtbag Ales Farmers Market for the T2T 5K event in Hope Mills. Events like these are a great way to connect with the community, talk about the fire service, and share information about volunteering with Stoney Point Fire Department.

🚨 Camden rd is back open. Thanks to all for your patience while the situation was mitigated!!

🚨 On April 22 around 10:26 am Stoney Point Fire department and the city of Fayetteville’s Hazmat team was dispatched and responded to a natural gas leak on 6610 Camden road, fayetteville, NC 28306. Emergency crews and sister agencies are on scene and the situation is under control and the mitigation process has started. Do to this natural gas leak Camden road will be closed at rockfish and Camden all the way to wipperwheel dr. Until further noticed. This will affect traffic and the area for a prolong period of time.

🔥🚫 The NC Forest Service has issued a statewide burn ban due to increased fire danger conditions. All open burning is prohibited until further notice, and all permits have been cancelled.

Please help prevent wildfires by following the burn ban and using extra caution outdoors.

The North Carolina Forest Service has issued an outdoor burn ban for all 100 counties in the state until further notice. Gusty winds and low relative humidity will continue across central North Carolina today.
