Another Board of Mayor & Aldermen meeting cycle is complete.

We took a big step in curbing door to door sales scams by beefing up our peddler permitting structure and establishing a no-solicitation list for citizens to place their name on.

Stay tuned in the coming weeks for details on how to add your address to the no-solicitation list. If you have a door to door salesman come to your door do not talk with them or share any of your info until they show you their permit.

As always, thank you for allowing me to serve as your Mayor!

Investing in better services for the city is a top priority for me!

🚛 It’s a BIG day for the City of Fayetteville, TN!

The brand-new garbage truck has arrived and will be hitting the streets very soon! At a price tag of approximately $380,000, this is a major investment of our tax dollars in our Public Works Department—and an important investment in the everyday services our citizens depend on.

When you think about it, two garbage trucks have been responsible for servicing a city of more than 7,000 people. When one truck goes down, that creates a BIG challenge. Adding this new truck means greater reliability, fewer disruptions, and better service for our community.

Public Works Department City of Fayetteville, Tn is one of those departments we may not think about until we need them—but their work touches our lives every single day. From garbage collection and street maintenance to the countless jobs happening behind the scenes, these employees help keep Fayetteville running.

Today, we’re celebrating more than a new truck. We’re celebrating an investment in our city, in dependable services, and in the hardworking men and women who make it all happen.

Thank you to our tremendous Public Works employees—the unsung heroes who keep our city moving! 💙🚛👏

We can’t wait to see this beauty out on the streets of Fayetteville!

Always happy to jump in and help wherever I can! ♥️

Always happy to jump in and help wherever I can! ♥️

Some of the best Main Street moments happen when no one is watching.

We were walking back to the office tonight after dinner at The Revolutionary Tavern when I suddenly said, “Crap… I forgot I’ve got to move the barrels!” Without missing a beat, Mayor Donna Hartman said, “We’ll just jump in with you and drive around. We’ll hop out and move them!”

So that’s exactly what we did. 😂

Teamwork really does make the dream work. I’m so thankful not only for the friendship of our Board President, Heather McCormick, and Mayor Hartman, but for the way they’re always willing to jump in—both figuratively and literally—to get the work done. And thank y’all for helping me pull weeds, too! 😆

Fayetteville Main Street wouldn’t exist without the partnership and support of the City of Fayetteville, Lincoln County, and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. We truly have an amazing team working behind the scenes to make our community shine.

We’ve got a big announcement coming soon… 👀

But first, we can’t wait to see everyone at First Saturday tomorrow from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM! Come shop, eat, explore, and help us celebrate another great day in downtown Fayetteville.

Tennessee’s Tax-Free Weekend is here, giving families a chance to save on qualifying school supplies, clothing, shoes, and computers by skipping both the state and local sales tax.

If you can, I also encourage you to shop with our local Fayetteville businesses. Every purchase you make close to home supports our local economy and the people who make our community special.

I hope everyone has a safe weekend, and best of luck to all of our students, teachers, and school staff as another school year begins!

💙 🧡 What an incredible Day of Hope🧡 💙

To our donors, volunteers, and community partners, —thank you. Your generosity, your time, and your servant hearts made this day possible.

And to every family who came, thank you for allowing us to serve you. It was an honor to share this day with you.

Because of all of you, hope was shared, lives were encouraged, and our community grew a little stronger.

Together, we didn't just host an event—we showed what happens when a community comes together to love and serve one another.

Thank you for making One Day of Hope of a success!

SCHRA provides a wide range of services that impact families, seniors, and communities throughout southern middle Tennessee, including right here in Fayetteville.

Yesterday was our governing board meeting. The governing board is made up of primarily county mayors from across the region and I’m proud to be one of only three city mayors that sit on the governing board.

No matter where I’m at, I make sure Fayetteville has a seat at the table and a voice in the work being done across our region.
