A brief reprieve in the heavy weather of late takes hold heading into midweek. It will be cooler and slightly less humid, with just the small chance for a shower or thundershower, mainly south, on Tuesday. The chance for showers and thunderstorms does ramp back up Wednesday night, and then last through Thursday, but this is not likely to be another extended siege of active weather.

08/18/2026

Chances of showers and thunderstorms diminish today, although some are possible along and near the mountains. Tuesday night and Wednesday morning will then be dry. A Cold front will bring more showers and thunderstorms later Wednesday into Thursday, with flash flooding once again a threat.
