This morning, Training Battalion Chief Tammy East and Training Captain Stephanie Holcomb met with students in the University of Arkansas Master of Athletic Training Program to discuss their upcoming EMS ride-alongs. The students will soon spend time with our crews to gain a better understanding of prehospital emergency care, our operations, and the role EMS plays in the continuum of patient care.

This partnership provides a valuable opportunity for future athletic trainers to see firsthand how EMS assesses, treats, and transports patients while strengthening collaboration between our professions to ensure the best possible outcomes for those we serve.

We look forward to welcoming the students and growing this partnership.

Central EMS extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Captain Chris Kelley. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who knew and loved him during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Captain Kelley. Your service and dedication will not be forgotten.

Our law enforcement family is mourning the loss of a truly remarkable man.

After many years of dedicated service, Chris Kelley, a longtime Deputy Sheriff with the Benton County Sheriff's Office, (Reserve Lieutenant), and Captain with the Centerton Police Department, has passed away.

He was more than a badge and a uniform. He was a respected leader, a trusted mentor, a loyal friend, a devoted husband, and a servant to his community. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to others left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He led with integrity, treated people with respect, and earned the admiration of colleagues, friends, and community members alike. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched throughout his career and beyond.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who served alongside him during this difficult time.

Thank you for your service, your friendship, and the example you set for so many. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Rest easy, brother. We have the watch from here.

We wrapped up EMS Week today with lunch catered by Flying Burrito! πŸŒ―πŸš‘

To close out the week, we invite our staff to bring their families along β€” a small way to recognize and thank the people who make so many sacrifices behind the scenes. The long hours, missed holidays, late nights, and early mornings aren’t possible without the support of family.

We appreciate our staff, their families, and the support system that helps keep our crews going every day. Thank you for being part of what we do! πŸ’™
