Yesterday was an extra special day at Cleveland Elementary as we welcomed back our former Crocs, now graduating seniors! 🎓🐊

They had the chance to walk our halls one last time, greeted by cheering students and staff from where their journey began. It was such a powerful full-circle moment to celebrate how much they’ve grown and all they’ve accomplished!

We also took time to honor and remember two beloved members of our Crocodile family, Brooke Peel and Malik Grover. Their memories remain a part of who we are, and they will always be carried in our hearts. 💚

Once a Crocodile, Always a Crocodile! We are so proud of you!🐊

Our school is all in for our One Book, One School celebration with A Summer According to Humphrey! Each morning on WCCB, students tune in for a trivia question, and classes can submit their answers for a chance to win a very special prize… a day with Humphrey himself 🐹

Last Friday, Ms. Duer’s fourth grade class won, and it couldn’t have been better timing! They were headed out on a field trip to Fernbank Museum of Natural History, so Humphrey tagged along for an unforgettable adventure.

From exploring exhibits to tagging along with the class, Humphrey had a full day of fun. And the highlight? They even ran into Og along the way!

We are so proud of our first grade teacher, Ms. Groce, for earning her Education Specialist degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Georgia! She was also selected to deliver the invocation at the ceremony at the UGA Griffin Campus, which is such an incredible honor. Way to go, Ms. Groce! 🐊🎓

Congratulations to our 5th Grade C.H.A.M.P.S. graduates! We are so proud of your hard work and dedication throughout the program.

C.H.A.M.P.S. stands for Choosing Healthy Activities and Methods Promoting Safety. This program provides guidance, skills, ability, and knowledge to be safe, healthy, and happy in preparation for a successful life.

A special congratulations to the winners of the essay, poster, and overall contest. We are so proud of you all!

Something very strange is going on at Cleveland Elementary…

On Monday, staff members were spotted dressed completely in black.🖤
Today? Students reported seeing teachers wearing the most unusual things on their heads. Easter baskets, towels, neckties, flower pots, soccer balls… everything but a hat!🤯

What could this mean?!
Will the mystery continue?!

🎨✨ Join us for Fine Arts Night this Thursday, May 7th! ✨🎭

You won’t want to miss this FREE, fun-filled evening at our school! Every student has been hard at work creating beautiful artwork with Mr. Smith, and each child’s framed piece will be available for purchase at our Art Show in the gym. 🖼️

Step into creativity as you meet students dressed as famous artists, ready to share what they’ve learned about their work. 🎨 Our incredible chorus will also be performing, and Ms. Dalton’s 5th grade class will bring A Midsummer Night’s Dream to life on stage! 🌟

It will truly be a night full of art, creativity, and fun for the whole family!

📢 We will also be hosting our Title I Stakeholders Meeting, where we’ll share exciting updates about our school’s goals and progress.

Ms. Jackson’s Pre-K class had the sweetest time celebrating spring all April long!

From imaginative play in their classroom farmers market to decorating and collecting eggs, these little learners stayed busy, creative, and full of joy. We love seeing their excitement for the season bloom! 🌷🐣
