🌳Our Urban Forestry team is out on the trails this month documenting ash trees for Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) treatment. Protecting Fayetteville’s ash population is a priority, and early action is essential. Not all ash trees will be treated; we are focusing on the healthiest trees to preserve long term canopy. Although ash make up less than 2% of our overall tree canopy, EAB will still have a noticeable impact on our parks and trail corridors.

🌳You may also see a contracted forestry company working in parks and along the trail system as they apply professional EAB treatments to help safeguard remaining healthy ash trees. We will also remove trees that are hazardous to park or trail users.

🌳Thank you for your patience as we work to keep Fayetteville’s urban forest thriving and resilient. For questions about tree care or EAB, please reach out or visit our website.
