Legal retainer signings may be some of the simpler appointments—but the biggest challenge is helping clients understand that I am not the law firm. 😩

I deliver and notarize the documents, but I cannot explain the case, interpret the agreement, or answer legal questions. Unfortunately, today’s appointment resulted in a refusal to sign. The good news? I still get paid for my time and travel, so it wasn’t a complete loss!

Clients deserve clarity before the notary arrives. 📄✍🏾
