This week, we welcomed three outstanding new teammates into the Arkansas Army National Guard. Please help me congratulate them on taking a decisive step toward service, career growth, and community impact.

1) PVT Carlos Aguirre-Soto (09M)
A Springdale High School graduate with a strong plan. He intends to study business at University of Arkansas and leverage credentialing assistance at Northwest Technical Institute through NGTW, with an eye toward becoming a wheeled vehicle mechanic.

2) SPC Jawaski Nickens
Currently part of the workforce at Tyson Foods, SPC Nickens joined as a 12N, building skills that translate directly to both mission readiness and civilian career value.

3) SPC Benjamin Stevens
At 40 years old, and working at Walmart Home Office, SPC Stevens joined as an Officer Candidate, proving that leadership and service have no expiration date.

If you have been thinking about taking the next step, now is the time. Education benefits, career credentials, and leadership development are real outcomes here, and this week’s group is a perfect example.

Help us congratulate our newest Soldiers:

👏 PVT Luke Kesner enlisted super fast and secured a 25U (Signal Support Systems Specialist) position with a 20K bonus plus GI Bill Kicker. Right place, right time, right move.

👏 Andrew Koch and Bennett Bell enlisted as 09R (SMP Cadets), investing early in leadership and building the future officer pipeline.

👏 Blake Goodson, prior service, enlisted as a 25U, bringing experience and technical expertise back into the formation.

Proud to welcome two outstanding future Soldiers to the Arkansas Army National Guard.

🇺🇸 PVT Areli Ramirez-Mejia
A senior at Har-Ber High School, PVT Ramirez-Mejia has enlisted as a 91D Power Generation Equipment Repairer. She plans to continue her education at the University of Arkansas, aligning technical military training with long-term academic goals.

🇺🇸 PVT Oswaldo Tabares
PVT Tabares has enlisted as a 91B Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic. He plans to graduate from Northwest Technical Institute (NWTI) and continue his civilian career as a mechanic while serving.

Both Soldiers exemplify the next generation of talent, leveraging the Guard as a force multiplier for education, technical mastery, and community impact. We are proud to have you on the team and look forward to watching you succeed in and out of the uniform!
