Though dealt a setback by the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals ruling earlier this summer, the challenge to Act 372 continues—and so does the need for support.

Fayetteville Public Library is prohibited from spending public dollars to fund the lawsuit, so the Library counts on the Foundation to cover its related legal expenses.

Related: The Foundation will screen The Librarians in the Event Center at Blair Library on Sunday, October 4, at 2:00 PM. The 2025 documentary by Academy Award nominee Kim Snyder follows librarians in Florida, Texas, and other states as they push back against efforts to ban books. The event is free to attend.

In case you missed the news, Fayetteville Public Library Foundation is once again partnering with Crisis Brewing Company for giveback nights each Thursday in October—and there are *five* Thursdays in October this year.

As it did last year, the Fayetteville brewing company will donate a percentage of sales made every Thursday evening in October to the Foundation.
