Another new friendship is officially underway! 💚 Meet Big Sister Mary and Little Sister Bailey! ✨

These two quickly found some things in common, bonding over their love for cats 🐱 and their summer camp experiences. Now they’re already planning their first adventure together—ice skating! ⛸️❄️

We’re so excited to watch Mary and Bailey get to know each other, try new things, and make plenty of memories along the way. Here’s to their first of many adventures together! 💚

As a Prevention Provider with Harbor House, Inc., Katherine works across the River Valley to connect individuals, families, and communities with the education and resources they need to thrive. Her passion for serving youth and strengthening communities is at the heart of everything she does.

Katherine believes every young person deserves caring adults who encourage, support, and believe in them. Meet our newest Match: Little Mathew and Big Matthew! 💚✨

These two already have plenty in common—they both love reading, spending time outside, and sports! During their first time together, they put their competitive sides to the test with a game of foosball, and Little Mathew pulled off the win with a buzzer-beater shot! ⚽🙌

They may both be a little on the quiet side, but they’re excited to get to know each other, find more shared interests, and start making memories together. We can’t wait to see where their Match takes them! 💚

🌟 Meet Leilani Ocasio, a member of our Fort Smith Advisory Council!

Leilani is the Director of Strategy at M. Palmer Consulting and one of only seven credentialed Grant Professionals in Arkansas. Through her work, she helps nonprofits strengthen their fundraising, strategic planning, and leadership so they can create an even greater impact in their communities.

For Leilani, mentorship is personal. A volleyball coach who believed in her introduced her to Lyon College, opening doors that shaped her education, career, and confidence. As a Fort Smith native, she's proud to give back by helping create those same life-changing opportunities for local youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters. Thank you, Leilani, for investing in the next generation! 💚🤝

Our August Match Activity was a hole-in-one! ⛳💚 This month, our Bigs and Littles hit the course at Gator Golf for an evening of mini golf, friendly competition, and plenty of time spent making memories together.

Our monthly Match Activities are always free for our Matches, giving Bigs and Littles more opportunities to connect, try something new, and simply have fun together without worrying about the cost. 🐊✨ We love creating these experiences that help Matches build stronger relationships and make lasting memories!

Karissa will be mentoring at Ramsey Middle School through our Outdoor Club collaboration with the Sebastian County Opioid Task Force. 🌿🥾 She’s also an ArcBest employee!
