A Public Safety Power Shutoff is not currently expected to occur in Federal Heights. However, high winds are still forecast, and residents may still experience weather-related power outages.

Public Safety Advisory โ Potential Power Outages
Xcel Energy has advised that extreme wind and dry conditions are expected on Wednesday, December 17, which may result in a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) in parts of the metro area, including Federal Heights. These shutoffs are used to reduce wildfire risk during dangerous weather conditions.
If a shutoff occurs, power restoration will begin after weather conditions improve and required safety inspections are completed. Restoration could take several hours or longer depending on conditions.
