To help reduce the risk of fires during current dry conditions, the City of Federal Heights is following the Stage 1 Fire Restrictions currently in effect for unincorporated Adams County.

Stage 1 restrictions limit activities that could start a wildfire, including open burning, campfires (with limited exceptions), fireworks, and smoking in undesignated outdoor areas. Liquid and gas-fueled grills are still permitted.

The City of Federal Heights Large Item Clean-Up is coming up during the weeks of September 14 and September 21!

Collection dates vary by neighborhood. Check the map to find your area and scheduled collection date.

Please have eligible items placed curbside by 7:00 AM on your scheduled collection day. Crews will only make one pass through each area.

Federal Heights residents can safely dispose of household hazardous waste and electronics for free on Saturday, September 12!

The drop-off event will be held from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM at the Veolia Colorado Household Waste Recycling Center, 9131 E. 96th Ave., Henderson, CO 80640.

Fees will be waived for Federal Heights residents. Proof of residency is required.

Join us for an engaging, hands-on experience where you’ll gain firsthand insight into law enforcement through demonstrations, presentations, and interactive activities.
