Hello, Pinnacle Pack! We're so excited to share a recap of last week's Kindergarten Continuation Ceremony!

On Wednesday, our little ones walked the stage and shared their hopes and dreams in the most adorable and hilarious way. From wanting to become princesses to becoming astronauts, our kindergarteners proved they have no shortage of imagination! 👸🚀

"Seeing them walk the stage was definitely a bitter sweet moment. It's nice to see them grow into independence, but it's also sad because they're your babies and you want them to stay babies forever. I am so proud of the friendships she's created and of her level of literacy which is incredibly advanced." shared Elisha, one of our kinder parents.

During the ceremony, our students also treated us to a song and choreography they worked so hard to prepare, and they did not disappoint!

This milestone is so special. We are incredibly proud of every single one of our students, and deeply grateful to our amazing teachers and staff who guided them every step of the way.

One of Our Favorite Traditions of the Year!

Hello Pinnacle pack, our annual 5K event is officially in the books, and it brought together our middle school and high school students for a day full of energy, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

The run kicked off at the high school, where students gathered before making their way through the neighborhood streets along the official 5K route. The journey ended at the PAC (Pinnacle Athletic Complex), where the fun continued long after the finish line.

Students spent the rest of the day enjoying bouncy castles, playing ball, splashing water on each other, and simply making the most of the time together.

We also celebrated some incredible performances by awarding medals to the students and staff members who finished in the top three spots in their respective categories! 🥇🥈🥉

Over the years, this tradition has continued to evolve, but its core purpose has always stayed the same: bringing students together to celebrate, connect, and have fun as the school year comes to an end.

A Day Full of Memories, Milestones, and Goodbyes ✨

Hello Pinnacle pack, on Thursday, May 7th, our seniors celebrated their final day as Pinnacle students and it was a day filled with emotion from beginning to end.

The celebration began in the Event Center, where seniors gathered before making their way through campus. Elementary and middle school students lined the hallways, cheering them on, giving high fives, and celebrating the seniors who once walked those same halls themselves

Reflecting on the day, senior Trevious M. shared what the experience meant to him, "I was excited and happy that I finally accomplished something that I once thought would be difficult to achieve. What surprised me most in a positive way were the notes I received from elementary and middle school students, along with the standing ovation from the high school while receiving the necklace. I had a good experience at Pinnacle and everyone should take the opportunity to do everything whether it's fun or not to reach the pinnacle of who they are."

As the seniors continued their walk through campus, they made their way to the playground one last time. Together, they soaked in the moments that made their school journey so meaningful.

The day concluded at the high school, where students and teachers came together to celebrate the Class of 2026 with heartfelt stories and reflections on how far these students have come. It was emotional, joyful, and most importantly, a reminder that milestones like these are never reached alone.

We are incredibly proud of our seniors and all they have accomplished as part of the Pinnacle PACK. We wish you all the best as you begin this exciting next chapter in life! 💙

Attendance Is On Fire I Middle School Edition!🔥

Hello Pinnacle pack, on Wednesday, May 6th, we were supposed to have our "Attendance Is On Fire" event, but Colorado weather had other plans. With a severe snowstorm warning that week, we made the decision to reschedule for Thursday, May 7th, and honestly, we're so glad we did!

Because that day marked the beginning of something special. For the very first time ever, Attendance Is On Fire expanded to our middle school students!

Our highest-attending students enjoyed breakfast with firefighters, got a personal tour around the Federal Heights Fire Department station, and got to ask questions about what it's really like to serve the community.

The experience became even more unforgettable when students got to ride back to campus in the emergency vehicles themselves.

One of the most meaningful moments came from Christopher, a student who hopes to become a firefighter someday. During the visit, he asked, "How do you deal with stressful situations?" It was one of those moments that reminds you just how prepared and motivated our students truly are.

What's a career you would love to explore? 🚒

Turn your next home purchase into support for our school 🏫

Did you know? Every time you shop at American Furniture Warehouse, 2–4% of your purchase comes back to Pinnacle Charter School 💙

For the past 10 years, this partnership has raised over $12,000 for our students… but now we’re in the FINAL stretch before the program ends after the 2026 Back-to-School season.

That means this is our LAST chance to make it count.

Here’s how you can help:
✔ Shop ANYTIME at AFW (in-store, online, or by phone)
✔ Mention Pinnacle Charter School or use our School ID: PCS006
✔ Invite friends & family, every purchase helps!

Furniture, mattresses, home upgrades you’re already shopping… why not give back while you do it?

Every purchase counts. Every dollar supports our students. ✨

Hello Pinnacle Pack, did you know that asthma affects about 70,000 children in Colorado and is one of the leading causes of chronic disease related to absenteeism?

As a Colorado Asthma Friendly School, we’re working to ensure every student with asthma can attend school regularly, participate fully, and achieve their potential. This achievement has made us the first CSI authorized charter school to earn this designation.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our school nurse, Brittany Sliter, for her dedication to our students. She has gone through extensive training and multiple practice sessions to become certified, demonstrating her commitment to providing the best possible care.

We truly appreciate all that she does each day to support the health of our school community.

Does your family have any tips or routines that help manage asthma at school or at home?

What goes into feeding nearly 1,000 students every day? More heart than you might imagine.

Hello Pinnacle Pack, meet Mayra Chavez. She is our Kitchen Lead at Pinnacle and she has been serving meals and smiles for the past 9 years. Along with her team, they carefully prepare each dish with intention and they do it with the same care they would for their own families. For instance, our pozole is made with fresh ingredients and prepared a full day in advance!

Mayra puts it best: "I believe the secret to a good pozole is fresh meat and slow cooking to blend all the flavors; we use high-quality ingredients so that our pozole tastes just like home. In the kitchen, we prioritize quality; everything we make, we make it as if it were for our own families."

From hand cleaning chiles one by one to making sure every flavor comes together just right, the behind-the-scenes work takes a huge chunk of time and allows them to serve up to 950 students a day in the K-8 building alone.

We invite our families to encourage students to try everything on their plate, you might be surprised just how good school lunch can be.

Have you had a chance to try our pozole? 👩‍🍳
