Our 8th grade Vikings have been busy this week! 💙💛

Students have been putting the finishing touches on their character projects, showing creativity, thoughtfulness, and a deeper understanding of character traits.

They also put their STEM skills to work in science class with a fun marshmallow building challenge! Building cubes is a great hands-on way to explore structures, shapes, engineering, teamwork, and problem-solving. 🧪🔬

We love seeing our students learning by doing, thinking critically, and working together. Keep up the great work, 8th grade!

A huge THANK YOU to the UPike Football Team for spending time with us at Feds Creek Elementary and reading to our Head Start through 5th-grade students! 📚🏈

Our students absolutely loved having these outstanding young men in their classrooms! What a wonderful example of leadership, service, and giving back. Seeing these young men take time to pour into the hearts and minds of our children means more than they know.

Thank you for investing your time in our students and showing them the importance of reading, education, and being a positive role model. Our school and our entire community appreciate you!

Our elementary students were busy learning and growing this morning! 💙💛📚

From Kindergarten and up, our students were sharpening their reading skills while teachers incorporated KAGAN strategies to increase engagement, encourage collaboration, and support learning. It is exciting to see even our youngest Vikings actively participating, communicating, and thinking together!

It is with great pleasure that we congratulate Keagan Pinion on being selected to participate in the Pikeville Medical Center Medical Academy! 🩺💙💛

Keagan is making Feds Creek Elementary history as the very first student from our school to be selected for this incredible opportunity! We are so excited for him and extremely proud of all he has accomplished.

🚨 IMPORTANT PARENT PICK-UP SAFETY REMINDER 🚨

For the safety of ALL of our students, please follow our Parent Pick-Up procedures:

🚙 You MUST remain in your vehicle and enter the Parent Pick-Up line.

❌ DO NOT park and walk over to pick up your child.
❌ DO NOT come to the front doors to pick up your child.
❌ Students will NOT be walked into the parking lot.

Parent Pick-Up Procedure

💙 Stay in your vehicle and circle through the Parent Pick-Up line. Please make sure anyone that picks up your child knows these procedures.

💛 We will call the first THREE vehicles in line.

💙 Students will remain safely on the sidewalk until ALL THREE vehicles have come to a COMPLETE STOP.

💛 Once those students are safely loaded, we will move to the next vehicles in line.

These procedures are in place for one reason: the SAFETY of our children.

Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and for helping us keep Parent Pick-Up safe and organized each day!

Our 8th grade students were at it again! 💙💛⚔️ They were hard at work creating character posters, collaborating, and putting their learning into action.

We are so proud of the effort, focus, and leadership they are showing in the classroom. As the oldest students in our building, they are setting a wonderful example for our younger Vikings and showing them what it means to be a leader! 🌟
