Updates from the meeting on Monday.
1. We have decided to have a quick Pack meeting on December 7th to award any advancements that were not previously awarded.
• Facial coverings required, and social distancing when practical
2. We need to re-charter ASAP!
• If you intend to continue, I need to know right away
• $84/scout - $66 to National, $18 to Council
• Funds (if available) can be deducted from your scout’s account
• Leader needs: (have a chartered organization representative, Rob Watts – Key 3)
 Cubmaster (Key 3) – I have decided I will not continue as Cubmaster as my boys are both involved with the Troop and I wish to be there for them.
 Committee Chairperson (Key 3) – My wife will not continue either – see above.
 Den Leaders
 Treasurer
 Committee Members
 Advancement Chairperson
 Must have the Key 3, Den Leaders, and at least one committee member(if memory serves0
 Plenty of other roles to make everyone’s job easier
• All leaders, Lion parents, and Tiger parents MUST complete Youth Protection Training prior to Re- charter, I must submit the certificate with the Charter.
3. Den Meetings
• Idea was proposed to have different dens meet on separate nights – Eg: Lions Tigers and Wolves on Monday; Bears, Webelos, AOL on Tuesday
 Will depend on fire hall availability – I will pose the question. Tuesday is reserved for the Boy Scout Troop. They have been meeting approximately every other Tuesday, so a split may be able to be worked out. I will pose these questions
• Meetings at alternative locations was also discussed:
 Must follow all established Delaware COVID protocols and all established BSA Youth Protection Guidelines.
4. Pack activities
• Looking for ideas
• Decided to plan another committee meeting in the near future to discuss
5. Fund Raising
• No popcorn sales this year
• looking for ideas to raise funds
6. Recruitment
• No Council push at local schools – stupid COVID
• Tell your Scouts to “spread the word” – word of mouth may be the best tool we have. If you scout really enjoys the program, have them tell their friends.
7. Dues
• For those that have pre-paid dues from March to July, those funds will be reverted back to the scout account for future needs

I realize this is long message with a ton of information, but as we try to re-group and continue our scouting experiences some decisions need to be made and discussions need to be had. I hope the unit can continue to progress and become even better. It will take a commitment from all of the current and future volunteers. Please, do not be afraid to volunteer for a position; I know it can seem overwhelming at times but it can give you a great deal of satisfaction. More is better – more ideas, more help, more roles filled, more…….

Please, let’s do our best to provide, education, awesome values, and experiences for our scouts. After all, they are our future leaders!

Thank You All, and Hope to See You December 7th

Please take any opportunity to work on advancements with your Scouts. If there are any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I will respond as soon as can and to the best of my ability.

Again, I hope everyone stays healthy during these unprecedented times and look forward to seeing you all soon.

Hello,

I hope you all are well and dealing with the pandemic as best you can.

As you may have guessed, the District Pinewood Derby has been postponed. Sorry for the late notice, but I just saw the E-mail (it was sent yesterday at noon). A future date has not yet been set. I will inform you as to the new date as soon as I am aware.

We will continue to suspend all Pack activities until further notice to abide by the 10 person or less mandate.

Leaders/Parents: please look at advancement requirements and complete any requirements you can with your scouts. Requirements can be updated in Scoutbook.

I know these are unusual times, but I’m certain we can persevere, learn, and continue our scouting experiences with some dedication and commitment to the program.

I hope you and your families are all well and look forward to seeing everyone when we meet next.

Due to the uncertainty surrounding the recent corona virus outbreak we will suspend all activities. Plan to resume normal meetings on March 30th. This was a difficult decision but the health of the scouts is of utmost importance.
