Look what we did today at our Community Garden Day! We made a new seating area and planted all butterfly attracting plants! We just need to add mulch! 🌻

Carrot flowers are so beautiful especially from below! They attract a lot of pollinators and as you can see ladybugs too! 🐞 This is a purple carrot flower other colored carrots produce white flowers. 🥕

Caught a Common Buckeye butterfly with its tongue in one of our blooming yarrows!!

A bit late this year BUT.... we just saw our first Ladybug larva in our High School garden! Students use Fava beans to attract aphids and the aphids attract the Ladybugs. We get to see the ladybug life cycle on our fave beans.

We found Damselfly nymphs in our K-5 Garden pond this week. Even a small pond helps to support wildlife and create an ecosystem we need for an organic school garden!
