Many people have asked Nancy about her party affiliation.

Candidates for the Circuit Court Judge position must be non-partisan. That means judicial candidates cannot identify an affiliation with any political party.

One of the key aspects that safeguards the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary is the election process of judges. Non-partisan judicial elections serve as a crucial mechanism to preserve judicial independence and public trust in the legal system.

Circuit Court Judges are expected to make decisions based solely on the law and the facts of each case, without influence from political ideologies or external pressures.

Non-partisan judicial elections, by their very nature, help ensure that judges are not beholden to political parties.

In her courtroom, Nancy will make decisions based on the facts presented and the applicable law after each party has had an opportunity to present their evidence and make their argument.

Yesterday evening Nancy attended the 100 Club of Genesee, Lapeer and Shiawassee Counties. The dinner honored first responders, and the Speaker was former Detroit Lions quarterback Eric Hipple! His presentation regarding mental health with examples from his own life was impactful.
