We are thrilled to have our resident artist Erinn joining our booth this year at SummerFest! Erinn will be on site Friday (1:00-6:00 pm) and Saturday (9:00 am-1:00 pm) leading a turbo-charged community art project!

Children who create something with Erinn during SummerFest are invited to bring their artwork to the SummerFest Parade on Saturday evening and join Otter Cove for a short section of the parade route! As Otter Cove's contingent passes by, participants are welcome to join us for a block or two (children should be accompanied by a grown-up) as we celebrate creativity, community, and play!

We're singing and dancing this morning - and starting June 20, we'll be moving and grooving Saturday mornings, too!

We're thrilled to welcome Erinn Prischmann Webb as Otter Cove Children's Museum's summer 2026 Artist in Residence!

Throughout the summer, Erinn will be working with children and families to explore creativity and community through art. This residency is made possible through support from the Minnesota Humanities Center and the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.

You can meet Erinn and participate in a "wheel-y" fun community art project during SummerFest, where community members can build vehicles from recycled cardboard! Erinn will be near the Otter Cove booth during the following times:

Friday, 1:00-6:00 pm
Saturday, 9:00 am-1:00 pm

Children and families are invited to stop by, create alongside Erinn, and contribute to a collaborative community project!

Erinn's bio:

Erinn Prischmann Webb is a potter, painter, and assemblage artist whose work is guided by a commitment to intentionally putting joy into the world. Rather than documenting personal or collective emotions, she approaches artmaking as an act of emotional influence—creating objects and images that invite delight, curiosity, comfort, and play.

Primarily self-taught, Webb embraces experimentation, material exploration, and intuitive problem-solving. Her practice moves fluidly between clay, paint, and found materials to create work that feels approachable, tactile, and quietly celebratory. She values imperfection, humor, and the visible presence of the human hand as pathways to connection.

Community learning is central to her practice. As both a learner and instructor, she supports process-based environments that reduce fear and perfectionism, encouraging creative exploration with curiosity and confidence. Through her artwork and teaching, she aims to make creativity feel accessible, generous, and joyful.

WOW!!!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our very first KIDCHELLA! Kinda hard to say which was hotter - the temperature or the tunes!!

This event would not have been possible without our incredible vendors (Don Pablo's, Stony Brook Donut Co, The Cotton Candy Co, MinnePop, and Ruby's Pinoy Foods), entertainers (DJ Jake, Scott Kummrow, Thad's Amazing Magic, Fergus Falls School of Dance, and the Dollipops), volunteers, community partners (Fergus Falls Public Library and MAHUBE-OTWA Community Action Partnership), and supporters. Thank you for helping us create a free community celebration for local children and families!

See you next year - bigger and better than ever!
