Two more authors will be joining us on America's Birthday Celebration at the village on Sept. 19th! Welcome Jennifer Owen and Tim Vogel! There is still time for more authors and vendors to join us. Let us know and we will send you an application. This will be a great family day with lots to see and do! Admission is $10.00 per person, children under 5 are free and parking is free. NO PETS.

On Sept. 19th at America's 250th Birthday Celebration at Whippoorwill Academy and Village, a new film about the Ballad of Laura Foster will be shown in the Tom Dooley Museum by director Stephen Hancock. Teihe fun begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m.
Admission for the day is $10.00 per person. Children 5 and under are free. Parking is free. NO DOGS or other Pets. Service Dogs only.

If you love to read....there will be something for you at our Sept. 19th Festival to celebrate America's 250th Birthday since we will feature a "Writer's Row" of some amazing authors in our area and also from Denmark. Gracing the stage for the first time at Whippoorwill Academy and Village are two musicians from the high country: Jesse Smith and Laura Coston will be sharing some jazz standards from 3:30-4:30 on Sept. 19th on the front porch stage of Edith's Barn. We welcome them to the Whippoorwill family!

How lucky can we get? Martha Washington is coming to Ferguson for America's 250th Birthday Celebration on Sept. 19th. There will be time for you to sit down at the school house and talk to the First Lady. The Festival begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. There will be so many activities that day! This will be a memorable day to all who attend!

For animal lovers of all ages, you must visit Zandra's "Petting Zoo" while at the Sept. 19th Festival. The event begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. This is a great family outing day for education and fun.

Our festival would not be a festival without our 95+ year old veteran Jack Thompson, Bob Watson and friends performing. They have been our opening performance for years and they will be performing at 10 a.m., so get there early: Sept. 19th!
