Happy Day! 🏊‍♀️ Swimming is more than a summertime pastime—it’s a critical life skill that builds confidence and saves lives. Today is a great opportunity to encourage safe habits in and around the water for swimmers of all ages.

Pool Safety Essentials:
💦 Supervise children when they’re near water—stay alert, always.
💦 Start swim lessons early. It’s never too soon (or too late) to learn!
💦 Secure your pool with a fence and self-latching gate.
💦 Keep lifesaving tools handy, like a flotation ring or reaching pole.
💦 Learn CPR. Being prepared can make all the difference in an emergency.
💦 No running or diving in shallow areas—play it safe.

Whether you're dipping your toes in for the first time or refreshing your water safety knowledge, let today be the moment you commit to safer swimming.

Congratulations to our Altamonte Springs Police Department Explorers!

Over the past two weeks, our Explorers participated in the Central Florida Law Enforcement Explorer Academy, where they trained alongside Explorers from agencies across Central Florida. Throughout the academy, they developed valuable skills in leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and various aspects of law enforcement through classroom instruction, hands-on training, and practical exercises.

We are especially proud to recognize two of our Explorers for their outstanding achievements. Explorer Radmehr Basir earned 1st Place Most Tactical in his phase, and Explorer Alix-James Pettitfrere earned Top Physical Fitness in his phase. These accomplishments reflect the hard work, professionalism, and commitment displayed by all of our Explorers. They represented the with PRIDE and served as outstanding ambassadors for our community.

Interested in becoming a Police Explorer? The ASPD Explorer Program provides young men and women with hands-on experience, leadership development, and a unique look into the law enforcement profession. Take the first step toward an exciting and rewarding future: https://ow.ly/8yxF50Sem2M
