Two of our favorite things! Pippi and Lottie Dolls!

Astrid Lindgren was born this day 1907.

She is the fourth most translated children's writer after Enid Blyton, Hans Christian Andersen and the Brothers Grimm, thats some illustrious company. She was awarded the Right Livelihood Award for "her unique authorship dedicated to the rights of children and respect for their individuality."

R.I.P. Tom Wolfe. Thank you for everything you did for literature and journalism. We have some Tom Wolfe out in the library today to celebrate his life.

We just found a Little Free Library Friend at Amelia Park Town Center Condo Association Inc!!! Yay!! We are so happy to have a friend in town, and more places that people share the love of reading!
