Pinkley for Ferndale

Pinkley for Ferndale Robert Pinkley, owner of Leader Block Wine Co. & Eatery, is running for Ferndale City Council.

Ferndale has talked about creating a thriving and vibrant downtown for years. My Leader Block Wine Co. & Italian Eatery, which opened three years ago and survived a pandemic, shows that I know what it takes to make downtown the attractive centerpiece of our community and know what government can do to assist downtown. The restaurant also has affordable housing above it as part of the building reha

bilitation. The Ferndale City Council needs the perspective of a small business owner who lives and works downtown, hears the concerns of local residents coming through my doors, and has employees depending on him. It seems our city government is a bit detached from downtown and not sensitive to its needs. When taxes, zoning and regulations are being considered, I can provide feedback on whether they will actually help or hurt not only downtown, but our entire community. We should channel the competitive spirit of our amazing high school athletes, working hard to be the best Ferndale can be with our public safety, parks, environment and infrastructure. I want to be even more involved in our wonderful community and humbly ask you to vote for Robert Pinkley for Ferndale City Council.

Beginning in January, I will join the council and strive to make our community better while keeping a watchful eye on expenditures and tax and rate increases.

The City of Ferndale (Government) and Ferndale Chamber of Commerce should touch base with Alcoa. It seems there is a need for increased aluminum production and there's a great smelter available just a few miles west of us!

Aluminum prices have surged 47% in 2021. Aluminum is used in roofing, fencing, siding, gutters, insulation, nails, and many other products connected to construction.
