Scores of classic and modern Mini Coopers will be on Main Street until approximately noon today before the group heads to the Humboldt County Fair this afternoon and on to points elsewhere in Humboldt County throughout the rest of the week. Ferndale is delighted to welcome the California Cooper Club to Main Street on Tuesday, July 14 for its Mini Meet West event. Cars will be on display from mid-morning until about noon and then move to the Humboldt County Fairgrounds for a funkhana! Heads up: Main Street from Shaw Avenue to Ocean Avenue will be closed from 7 am to noon.

Happy Fourth of July! We hope to see you tomorrow (Saturday, July 4) at noon for Ferndale's annual Independence Day parade on Main Street. The wonderful folks of Ferndale Volunteer Fire Department will be honored as this year's grand marshals.⁠

As per tradition, the fire department will offer truck rides to youngsters (and the young at heart) starting at 10:00 AM. A word to the wise - FVFD says if you're on a truck at 11:50 AM, be prepared to ride with them through the whole parade! (Approximately 1 hour total on board.)⁠

While you're in town, enjoy dining and shopping on our historic Main Street and see why Ferndale has been named one of America's 10 most charming small towns.⁠

In the mood for BBQ? Head to Veterans' Hall starting at 11:00 AM for a lunch fundraiser (and stock up on fireworks).⁠

Kinetics just started rolling into town! We love welcoming the “Triathlon of the Art World” every year. This 3-day race from Arcata to Ferndale started here as a two-block sprint way back in 1969, conceived by local artists Hobart Brown and Jack Mays. Today, is perhaps Humboldt County’s most beloved and unique tradition!
