Yesterday, our Ferndale Lower and Ferndale Upper families came together for a sweet start to the new school year! From popsicles and smiles to reconnecting with friends and meeting our school leaders, it was wonderful seeing our school communities back together.

From Ferndale marching band to vice president of the Ferndale Schools Board of Education, Jonathan Turner’s journey has come full circle.

A proud Ferndale High School Class of 2017 alumnus, Turner credits his teachers, experiences and the Ferndale community with helping shape the leader he is today.

We’re giving our youngest Eagles a supportive, gradual start to the 2026–2027 school year! 🤎🧡

Kindergarten will follow a special schedule during the first week of school:

Half Day | Last Names A–L
8:20 a.m.–11:35 a.m.
🚌 AM bus transportation only. Families must provide pick-up after dismissal.

📅 Tuesday, Sept. 1
Half Day | Last Names M–Z
8:20 a.m.–11:35 a.m.
🚌 AM bus transportation only. Families must provide pick-up after dismissal.

📅 Wednesday, Sept. 2
Half Day | Whole Class
8:20 a.m.–11:35 a.m.
🚌 AM and PM bus transportation available for eligible students.

This final playdate is a great opportunity for students to get more comfortable with their school environment, connect with new friends and build excitement before the new school year begins! 🏫✨
