City of Festus Beautiful parks, safe neighborhoods, a thriving historic Main Street, and so much more - Festus is i It also included what was known as Derby City, W.A.

At the time of incorporation in 1887, the City of Festus encompassed approximately 190 acres of land. This included the area south of the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks, north of Harrison Lane, and east of Sunset Park. Gamel Subdivision, McAllister Subdivision, Sherlock Subdivision, W.A. Adams Subdivision, and several pieces of farmland. In the 100 years since its incorporation, the city has grown to 2,300 acres, or about 3.6 square miles.

Per Mayor Richards - All city offices will close 2 hours early today. The offices at City Hall and Public Works will close at 2:30pm. The Festus Public Library will close at 3pm.

As a reminder, all offices will be closed on Monday, Sept 7 for Labor Day. Trash and recycling will be picked up on Thursday, Sept 10 next week.

Vendor registration is happening NOW! Follow the link to sign up as a vendor at the Expo! The Expo is for everyone who has items to sell - yard salers, crafters, those doing direct sales! Bring what you are selling, along with your own tables, shade tents and whatever else you will need to sell out! There will be NO electric available. The sale of vehicles or weapons will not be allowed. Vehicle parts may be sold.

Anyone selling any kind of food items must comply with all regulations set by the Jefferson County Health Dept 636-789-3737 (ext. 229).
