The New Scotland Democratic Committee provides an informed and committed voice in advocating on behalf of the residents of our Town. As the local affiliate of the Albany County Democratic Committee, the NSDC promotes democratic principles and encourages participation in the process of local governance.

Notice of Town of New Scotland Democratic Party Caucus

Please take notice, that the New Scotland Democratic Committee will hold a Demorcratic party Caucus on Sunday March 15, 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Wyman Osterhout Community Center, 7 Old New Salem Rd., in the Town of New Scotland, New York. All enrolled Democrats residing in the town of New Scotland are eligible to attend, participate, and vote.

The purpose of the caucus is to nominate candidates for the following public offices, to be filled at the November 3, 2026 general election:

New Scotland Town Supervisor (2-year term)
New Scotland Town Clerk (2-year term)
New Scoltand Highway Superintendent (2-year term)

The deadline to change party affiliation in order to vote in this year's Democratic Primaries is coming up on February 14th! To change your party enrollment, you can visit this site or fill out a paper form and bring it to Albany County Board of Elections before the 14th!
