Our first Coaches Softball Tournament was a great success! We had a great turnout of supporters, plenty of laughs, and most importantly, everyone had fun, which is what it's all about!

A huge thank you to all of our coaches who volunteered their time this spring season to help provide a positive experience for our young athletes. We appreciate everything you do for Parks & Recreation and our community.

Now it's time for the coaches to ice their knees, break out the muscle ointment, and spend the next few days wondering why they're sore in places they didn't know existed. 🥎😂

Join us this Saturday at the Botetourt Sports Complex as coaches from across the county take the field for our first Coaches Softball Tournament! Come out and support the volunteers who dedicated their time this spring to helping our athletes learn, grow, and have fun!

Games begin at 4:30 PM. Come cheer on your favorite coaches and enjoy a fun evening at the ballfield! 🥎

Fall Sport Registration is almost here - Do you have what you need to register?
To complete registration for any BOCO Youth Athletics program, your child’s age must be verified in CivicRec. The good news? This only needs to be done once during your child’s youth sports career.

✅ Accepted Documents:
• Birth Certificate
• Child ID Card (issued by the DMV)
• Passport

📍 Where to Verify Documents:
• BOCO Parks & Recreation Office
• Any BOCO Library Branch (please allow 7–10 business days for processing if submitted through a library branch)

⚠️ Important: CivicRec will not allow you to register your child until age verification is complete.

Take care of this step now so you’re ready to sign up for:
