We would like to recognize a hardworking young man in our community for taking the initiative to help restore a piece of local history.

This 15-year-old spent his time cleaning and uncovering one of our historic brick sidewalks that had been hidden under several inches of dirt and grass for many years. Thanks to his hard work and dedication, the original brickwork can now be seen again and appreciated by the community.

It is great to see young people taking pride in our town and helping preserve its history. Thank you for your effort and willingness to make a difference. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.

I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Okaw Valley School District and our community for your continued support of this program. It truly takes a partnership to make a positive impact on our youth.

We appreciate everyone who came back and paid for the items taken earlier — that was the right thing to do.

This is a reminder to the public: just because no one is visible or working at the moment does NOT mean items are free or up for grabs. Taking merchandise without paying is still theft and will be handled accordingly.

We ask everyone to respect the business and its property at all times.

Due to today’s weather conditions, the scheduled tornado siren test has been postponed.

We are planning to conduct the test tomorrow, weather permitting. If conditions are still unfavorable, the test will be rescheduled.

Thank you for your understanding as we work to avoid any confusion during inclement weather.

🔐 A REMINDER FROM THE FINDLAY POLICE DEPARTMENT – SECURE YOUR PROPERTY 🔐

The Findlay Police Department is reminding residents to take a few extra minutes each night to secure their property.

Recent theft incidents serve as an important reminder that most property crimes are crimes of opportunity.

Please take steps to protect yourself and your belongings:

Lock vehicles, trailers, sheds, and garages every night
Remove keys and valuables from vehicles
Use motion lighting and surveillance cameras when possible
Park in well-lit and visible areas
Double-check locks before going to bed

Simple prevention steps can make a big difference in stopping theft before it happens.

We ask all residents in Findlay to stay alert, look out for one another, and report suspicious activity immediately.

📞 If you see something suspicious, contact the Findlay Police Department.

🔁 Please share to help keep our community safe.
