Hancock County Emergency Management Agency-Ohio The EMA maintains the County All-Hazards Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and keeps the county's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in a state of readiness.

Smoke from the wildfires will reduce visibility during the morning commute and through the day. Visibility can vary, but could drop down to less than a mile at times. Smoke will spread southward resulting in widespread poor air quality and visibility.

There is a slight Risk (level 2 of 5) for severe weather for areas west of I-77 this evening and overnight. Areas east of I-77 across NEOH and NWPA have a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) for severe storms tonight. The main threat will be damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph. Some large hail and an isolated tornado threat may also be possible mainly for NWOH. Stay weather aware and have multiple ways to receive warnings tonight!

Strong to severe storms are possible across the eastern half of the area this afternoon into early this evening. There is a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) of severe weather along and east of I-71 with a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) across portions of interior Northeast Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania. Damaging winds will be the main hazard, but tornadoes cannot be ruled out in the Slight Risk area. Locally heavy rain is possible in storms.

Update: Ramps are back open per ODOT

Today is the day! I75 SB exit ramp at US68/Lima Ave and I75 NB Exit 68/Lima Ave are closed .... if you miss the I75 Flyover SB exit your next exit is 10+ miles at SR 235.
This is a 1 day planned closure

🚧I-75 north to Lima Ave.
Detour: Continue north to SR 12 to Main St, back to Lima Ave.
🚧 I-75 south U.S. 68/SR 15/Lima Ave.
Detour: Continue south to SR 235, to I-75 north, back to U.S. 68/SR 15
