Finger Fire Department We provide fire protection and medical care in a 70 square mile area in northern Mcnairy and southern Chester counties.We have 29 members and 6 apparatus.

The Finger Fire Department has been providing fire protection and basic medical care for the city of Finger and surrounding community since 1984. We are an all volunteer department with 29 Members 13 are First Responders and 1 Paramedic. We currently operate from 2 stations with 6 pieces of apparatus. Our fire protection area covers 70 Sq. miles in northern Mcnairy and southern Chester counties

with a population of more than 2700. Current ISO rating of 5 in the city of Finger and a 7 within five road miles of Station 1

Leapwood Fire Department and Finger Fire Department are joining together to go for a grant to put a mega engine in the community. It will serve both communities in time of need. Many of you know they already work together as each other backup fire department. To get the grant started Leapwood must do a demographic Canvas of Need in our area. Leapwood Fire Department will be out in Finger community reaching out to residents of Finger asking for your help to make this possible. Some may have already been contacted and they thank you for your signatures. Others in next few days will be contacted. If you arent contacted and would like to help fire departments a table will be set up at Finger Fire Department Fish Fry this coming Saturday. Or message me and I will get your address to ones working your area.This will benefit both communities.
