What a way to wrap up the school year!

From Elementary Field Day and our 4th Quarter Assembly to McKenzie Day activities for our middle and high school students, the final days of school were filled with fun, celebration, and community. We also got to celebrate our kinders and 6th graders at their promotion ceremonies.

After checking out with teachers, cleaning lockers, and wrapping up the year, students had the chance to enjoy a variety of activities, including karaoke, movies, board games, computer games, open gym, and wiffle ball. Along the way, a few students even spent some time with Harold the Skeleton, who made his usual appearance for the end-of-year festivities.

As buses pulled away for the summer, staff sent students off in style with a can-can line, celebrating another successful year at McKenzie.

Thank you to our students, staff, families, and community for a wonderful school year. We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved summer break.

Our kindergarten students had a wonderful day exploring and learning at the Raptor Center!

The field trip gave students an up-close look at birds of prey while learning about wildlife, habitats, and conservation. Experiences like these help bring classroom learning to life and create lasting memories.

A big thank you to Mrs. Moturi for capturing these great moments from today's adventure.

Congratulations, McKenzie Class of 2026!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our graduates during the commencement. Graduation is always one of the highlights of the year, and this year's ceremony was a celebration of a remarkable group of young adults.

One of the most inspiring moments of the day was recognizing the incredible scholarship support awarded to our seniors. The Class of 2026 received an extraordinary $229,422 in first-year scholarship funding, reflecting both their hard work and the generosity of a community that believes in its students.

Thank you to the staff, volunteers, families, friends, and community members who helped make the day such a success. Most importantly, thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged these graduates throughout their journey.

A special thank you to Mr. Josey's students for capturing these photos and helping document such an important milestone for the Class of 2026.

We are proud of you and excited to see what comes next.

Help us shape summer meals in the McKenzie community.

McKenzie School District is exploring an expanded summer meal program for children ages 0-18, and we want to hear from you. The proposed program would offer flexible meal pickup options, family-style packaging, and access to breakfast and lunch throughout the summer.

Your feedback will help us determine community interest and guide planning for the future.

What a night!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support this year's Market Night.

Since the first day of school, students in Mr. Culp's class have been developing business ideas, creating products, building marketing plans, and preparing for opening night.

This year's businesses included:

• Print-It Playground
• Blur Theory
• Flowing Design
• Threaded Friends
• Welcoming Warmth
• The River Fox

We were also excited to see former Market Night students return with new products of their own, applying the skills they learned in class and continuing their entrepreneurial journey.

A special thank you to our families, staff, community members, and everyone who made purchases, asked questions, and encouraged our students. Experiences like Market Night provide valuable real-world lessons that students will carry with them long after graduation.

What a special moment for our McKenzie Eagles!

Last week, students, staff, families, and community members lined the halls to cheer on our State Track and Field qualifiers as they headed to Hayward Field for the OSAA State Championships.

Representing McKenzie were Coaches Kayla Johnston and Angelo Santiago, Will Meister, William Valtinson, Elijah Santiago, Cylas Sughroue, Fen Willis, Jacob Norlund, Claire Weiss, Liliana Jones, Nelli Sullivan, Mira Willis, Ally Peek, Grace Weiss, and Rhys Hamlow.

We are incredibly proud of these student-athletes for the hard work, dedication, and determination they showed throughout the season. Earning a trip to the state championships is an outstanding accomplishment and a reflection of countless hours of practice, perseverance, and teamwork.

Go Eagles!
