🚨 Update on Vandalism in Firestone Parks
Earlier this month, we shared concerns about several acts of vandalism reported in Firestone parks. We asked the community to help us keep an eye on these spaces, but unfortunately, the behavior has continued.

Ongoing vandalism has led to the closure of the restrooms at Peninsula Park in Barefoot Lakes.

We need the community’s help in protecting our parks. If you see suspicious activity, please report it to non-emergency dispatch at 720-652-4222.

Parks and facilities that continue to experience repeated vandalism will be evaluated for potential closure.

💧 Every drop counts, Firestone.

Mandatory Stage 1 watering restrictions remain in effect, but our community is not yet meeting its water conservation goals.

As of August 1, Firestone's water use was 2% above our five-year average and 5% higher than this time last year.

We need everyone — residents, businesses, HOAs, schools and organizations — to do their part to conserve.

🌱 Follow your designated watering schedule.
💧 Avoid overwatering.
🔧 Fix leaks promptly.

Together, the small changes we make today can help protect Firestone’s water supply for the future.

Interested in serving your community? There’s still time to become a candidate for the Firestone Board of Trustees!

The November 3, 2026 municipal election will include five Trustee seats and the Mayor’s seat.

📋 Nomination petitions are due Monday, August 24, at 5 p.m.

To run, prospective candidates must pick up a nomination petition packet from the Town Clerk’s Office and collect 10 signatures from registered Firestone electors.

Have questions about running? Start with the Town! Election rules and requirements can be complex, so make sure you’re getting accurate, up-to-date information directly from the Town rather than relying on social media, word of mouth, or other unofficial sources.

📅 Sat, Sept 26 | 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Neighbors helping neighbors — that's what Firestone does best! Join us for our 4th Annual Friends of Firestone Day of Service, a community-powered event where volunteers roll up their sleeves to help homeowners with minor exterior repairs, painting, and yard clean-up. 🛠️🎨🌱

Last year, 88 amazing volunteers showed up and gave back at 4 homes across Firestone. This fall, we're ready to do it again — and we need YOU to make it happen!

🚧 Big changes are coming to Harney Park! 🛝

Starting August 17, both playground areas at Harney Park (10245 Devonshire St.) will close for a full playground replacement project.

The current playground is nearly 20 years old, and it's time for an upgrade! The new playground will feature modern, safer equipment and exciting new play opportunities for kids of all ages.

Construction is expected to continue through the end of September, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back to enjoy the new playground this fall!

Thank you for your patience while we make this exciting improvement to one of Firestone's parks.

🚧 Heads up, Firestone! Road work begins Monday, August 10.

Pavement maintenance is scheduled to begin on East Frontage Road (CR 9.5) near Firestone Boulevard, bringing temporary traffic changes and delays.

🚗 Expect:
• Traffic pattern changes at the intersection through August 21
• Lane closures and shifting traffic patterns
• Reduced speeds and periodic delays
• The greatest impacts during the first phase will be for northbound CR 9.5 traffic

Please plan ahead, slow down in the work zone, and give yourself a little extra travel time.
