Hydrant flushing has been completed.

*****Reminder*****

Tomorrow (Wednesday Aug 12th) hydrants will be flushed starting just after 8am. This is to help maintain the pipes and function of the hydrants.

The water is safe to consume if discoloration is present run COLD water for a few min until coloring dissipates and be cautious of doing laundry as to the discoloration can stain clothing.

***** Reminder*****

The roll off that we keep in town spring-fall is for yard waste only such as grass clippings, small branches, leaves and small shrubs. Waste Management can deny picking up the roll-off if their drivers see items that are not supposed to be dumped inside of it. There is a sign attached to the fence next to the roll off that has the acceptable items along with a number to call if there are any questions as to what can or cannot be placed inside.

Wednesday Aug 12th Starting around 8am. Public Works will be going around town flushing hydrants and doing maintenance on them.

Reminder that there will be random moments of drop in water pressure and have some water discoloration from sediment being knocked loose in the flushing process.

The water is safe for consumption but before doing laundry check for discoloration and if there is any, run the water on COLD for a few min till coloration dissipates.

The city will be going out this afternoon to work gate valves on the waterline on Thompson Ave. between 1st street and 2nd street to assure they are working properly for a repair that will be done on a shutoff Wednesday morning (7/29)

Pursuant under the provisions of Minnesota Statute 205.13 Subdivision 2, notice is hereby given that filings for the office of two (2) Councilpersons for the term of four (4) years and one (1) for Mayor for the term of two (2) years will be open Tuesday, July 14, 2026 and close Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Candidates must file at the office of the Fisher City Clerk, 320 Thompson Avenue, Fisher MN 56723. Candidates must complete an affidavit of candidacy and pay a $2.00 filing fee.

The roll-offs have been delivered. They are staged over next to the city shop where the yard waste roll-off is kept. There are 3 total in the area (2 for cleanup 1 for yard waste) the yard waste is closest to the street towards the elevator. Be mindful that yard waste can not go in the other bins. The back doors will be open to walk items in for long as we are able to close the door properly.

Waste Management is running behind today if they haven’t picked up the trash yet this morning it should be completed by the end of day today

Monday May 11th, a crew will be in town to street sweep. We ask that all items be off the street so the crew can complete the cleaning fully.
