🍂 United We Serve Volunteer Day is coming up! 🍂

We’re looking for local businesses, organizations and community groups to join us on November 13 from 9 AM–12 PM to help local seniors in our community get their yards ready for winter.

Volunteers may help with raking leaves, pulling weeds and other basic yard cleanup.

Groups will meet at Delaware Township first to get their assignments, go over the plan for the morning and grab some snacks before heading out.

No special experience is needed! Just bring your group and be ready to serve!

We’ve had an eventful week at Delaware Township!

On Monday morning, our friends from the Gardening with Hamilton County Master Gardeners - Indiana dropped off fresh veggies for our pantry clients! This is something they do every Monday during the gardening months and we are incredibly thankful for their continued support.

We also had a handful of seniors from Northridge Gracious Retirement Living join us to help sort products for the pantry, including toilet paper, crackers and children’s diapers. We always appreciate having community members lend a hand and help us keep things organized behind the scenes!

We’ve also have loved having our Heart & Soul Clinic Partner of the Year award in the lobby this week! Of course we had to give it a little tour of its new home before finding its permanent place. 😉

We also kicked off promotion for our United We Serve: Group Volunteer Day! On November 13, we’re bringing together local businesses and community groups to spend the morning helping local seniors with yard work and preparing their homes for winter. If your group is interested in joining us, we’d love to have you!

UNITED WE SERVE: GROUP VOLUNTEER DAY

Delaware Township is bringing local businesses, community groups and organizations together on November 13 from 9 AM–1 PM to help local seniors get their yards ready for winter. This will include raking leaves, pulling dry weeds and other winter preparations.
We’ll be working together to tackle yard cleanup and winter preparation for seniors in our community who could use an extra hand.

We’re looking for groups, businesses, clubs and organizations who want to spend the morning giving back and serving our neighbors together.

We have received a generous amount of bags over the past few days, at this time we no longer are in need!! Thank you to everyone who donated!

If you have extra bags available this week, we would love to use them to pack our pantry orders!

Drop them off at our office Monday–Friday from 8–3 PM. A donation bin is also located in our vestibule and is always open as well!

We are incredibly honored to receive the Partner of the Year Award from Heart & Soul Clinic!
Heart & Soul Clinic provides healthcare to individuals throughout Hamilton County who are uninsured or underinsured. They are a vital resource for so many in our community, including some of the clients we serve!
We are grateful for the work Heart & Soul Clinic does and proud to partner with an organization that helps make healthcare more accessible in our community!
Board Member Rick Fain represented Delaware Township at the award ceremony. Thank you, Heart & Soul Clinic, for this recognition and for all that you do!

We had a great time at Harvest Fest yesterday! 🍂🍁

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, decorated a tote bag, chatted with us and donated to the Delaware Township Food Pantry. We loved getting to see so many familiar faces and meet new members of our community!

A big thank you to Les and team at Fishers Art Council for inviting us again this year. We’re already looking forward to next year!
