March Pancake Breakfast this Sunday

Rombout Fire Company pancake breakfast fundraiser will be hosted this Sunday morning, March 22 from 8-11AM.

The event, a well-established local tradition, is scheduled from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the fire station at 901 Main Street. Attendees can enjoy pancakes with butter and syrup, eggs, omelets, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, along with coffee, tea, and orange juice.

Tickets are priced at $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, and $9 for children. Admission is free for children under five. All proceeds support the fire company's community programs. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door.

Fire Company Pancake Breakfast Still On Despite Inclement Weather Forecast

The pancake breakfast hosted by the Rombout Fire Company will take place as scheduled this Sunday morning, despite forecasts calling for inclement weather later in the day.

This event, a valued local tradition, will be held from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the fire station located at 901 Main Street. Guests can enjoy pancakes served with butter and syrup, eggs, omelets, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, as well as coffee, tea, and orange juice.

Although snow and colder temperatures are expected in the afternoon, the fire company expects the morning hours to be clear and comfortable for attendees.

1/18/2026 Pancake Breakfast Cancelled Due to Winter Weather

Dear Friends and Community Members,

We regret to inform you that our much-anticipated pancake breakfast, scheduled for this Sunday, has been cancelled due to the impending winter weather. Safety is our top priority, and with the forecast predicting snowfall and icy conditions, we believe it is best to cancel the event to ensure everyone's well-being.

We understand that many of you were looking forward to enjoying a delicious stack of pancakes, mingling with neighbors, and supporting our local community. While we are disappointed to cancel this event, we want to emphasize that your safety and the safety of our volunteers are of utmost importance to us.

Please stay warm and take necessary precautions during this winter storm. We encourage you to check on your neighbors, especially the elderly and those who may need assistance.

Rombout Fire Company Brings Santa to District Residents

The Rombout fire company recently organized a special event on Saturday, December 13, to bring joy and cheer to the residents of the district. Santa Claus himself made an appearance, spreading holiday spirit and delighting children and adults alike.

Santa spent the afternoon riding around the district spreading cheer to the residents, while the elves distributed candy canes to the children.

The success of this event was made possible by the dedicated members whom volunteered their time and resources to make this event a success.

A True Miracle: Honoring Our Local Heroes

Tonight, a Fishkill resident and First Responders from; Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, St. Luke’s Montefiore Cornwall, Town of Fishkill Police Department, Empress EMS, and the Rombout Fire Company were honored for their heroic, life-saving actions that led to what many are calling a true miracle.
On August 11, 2025, Assistant Chief Lucariello suffered a “cardiac event” shortly after arriving on the scene of a reported house fire. Thanks to the swift, skilled response of everyone involved including our dedicated professionals, his life was saved.
During this evening’s Town Board meeting, emotional testimonials from healthcare workers, the homeowner, the 911 caller, and Assistant Chief Lucariello himself filled the room with gratitude. Tears of happiness flowed freely, marking this a deeply special and unforgettable occasion.
