The Fishkill Highway Department and Building & Grounds maintain town-owned roadways, buildings, parks, and other infrastructure throughout the Town of Fishkill, NY.

CAMO Pollution Control has notified the Highway Department of a water main break at Hudson View Apartments. Residents may experience low water pressure and periodic outages while repairs are underway.

CAMO will provide updates as the repair progresses.

🚧 ROAD PAVING NOTICE – FLORENCE AVE. & WHEATON AVE. 🚧

Now that the in-ground gas utility work has been completed, milling and paving operations are scheduled to begin on Florence Avenue and Wheaton Avenue.

Florence Avenue: Milling & paving will take place Wednesday, September 16 and Thursday, September 17.

Wheaton Avenue: Milling & paving will take place Friday, September 18.

Residents living on or along these roadways should expect temporary delays, construction equipment, and limited access at times while work is underway. Please use caution when traveling through the work zones and, when possible, avoid parking vehicles along the roadway during paving operations.

Please join us on Tuesday, August 4th from 5PM to 8PM for our annual National Night Out celebration! 🚨
The goal of National Night Out is to grow the relationship between the community and law enforcement. It is a great opportunity for everyone to get together under positive circumstances to have some fun.
The Town of Fishkill Police Department is dedicated to serving our residents with compassion and understanding. We believe it is important to show our appreciation to you for the continued support you show us.
Come meet your local first responders, listen to live music by the Best of the Hudson Valley Winners, The Carrie Zazz band and enjoy some good food from local food trucks! There will be fun, games and entertainment for the kids and lots of interesting vendors to interact with. We hope to see you there!

For over 50 years the residents of the Town Fishkill put their faith in Glenn Scofield and over those 5+ decades Glenn faithfully and dutifully served the Town of Fishkill. He was the true embodiment of what a public servant should be…honorable, kind, trustworthy, and always up to the challenge. We lost a giant today, a pillar of our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with Glenn’s family during this difficult time. Rest in Peace Superintendent.

Let the paving begin!

Crews have completed the milling of roads throughout the Cedar Knolls neighborhood and have began paving these streets. These roads were among the most deteriorated in Town, and we are excited to deliver these much-needed improvements for our residents.

We would like to thank everyone who lives in and travels through these areas for your patience and understanding. Road construction can be inconvenient, but these temporary disruptions will result in safer, smoother roads that will serve our community for years to come.

Thank you to our Highway Department crew for their hard work and dedication, and thank you to our residents for your continued support!

⚾️🥎⚾️A wonderful Opening Day for Fishkill Little League The annual parade kicked off our 2026 season in style! Highway Superintendent Carmine Istvan was thrilled to join Town of Fishkill, NYSupervisor Ozzy Albra, Town Clerk Cooper Leatherwood, Brian Wrye, Council Member, Town of Fishkilland many more to celebrate and cheer on our Little Leaguers. Special thanks to Brandon Knapp and his Fishkill Buildings & Grounds crew for getting the fields ready. They look great!. It was overcast and drizzly today, but we’re already excited for warm spring evenings and baseball under the lights installed last year at Shepheard Memorial Park. Play Ball! ⚾🥎⚾️

🚧🚧Please be advised that beginning Wednesday, April 29, 2026, the Town of Fishkill Highway Department will begin drainage improvement work on Cedar Hill Road between Star Mill Road and Derick Drive.

During this work, motorists should expect intermittent road closures, delays, and posted detours. Local access will be maintained whenever possible, but travel through the area will be affected at times.

We encourage residents to plan alternate routes where feasible and allow extra travel time when passing near the work zone.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these important improvements to help enhance roadway drainage and long-term road conditions.

The Town of Fishkill Highway Department is proud to highlight the Glenn R. Scofield Highway Facility, named in honor of longtime Highway Superintendent Glenn Scofield and his decades of dedicated service to our community.

Current Highway Superintendent Carmine Istvan has installed this new sign in a prominent location on our building, a fitting tribute that ensures Superintendent Scofield’s legacy and contributions to our community will be recognized for years to come.
