🚧🚧Please be advised that beginning Wednesday, April 29, 2026, the Town of Fishkill Highway Department will begin drainage improvement work on Cedar Hill Road between Star Mill Road and Derick Drive.

During this work, motorists should expect intermittent road closures, delays, and posted detours. Local access will be maintained whenever possible, but travel through the area will be affected at times.

We encourage residents to plan alternate routes where feasible and allow extra travel time when passing near the work zone.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these important improvements to help enhance roadway drainage and long-term road conditions.

If you have any questions, please contact the Town of Fishkill Highway Department.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Today we honored a legacy that helped shape our department for generations.

This restored 80-year-old snow blow blade now stands at the entrance of the Highway Facility, proudly bearing the name of longtime Highway Superintendent Glenn Scofield Sr.. It serves as a lasting tribute to his dedication, leadership, and commitment to our community.

Standing together at the site were current Highway Superintendent Carmine Istvan and Glenn’s son, Highway Working Supervisor Dean Scofield, bringing together the past and present of the department Glenn helped build.

A meaningful way to preserve history and recognize the people who made it.

🇺🇸 🇺🇸 It is yet again that special time of year, the Hometown Hero banners are going up around town! These banners serve as a meaningful reminder of the service and sacrifice of our friends, neighbors, and family members who have proudly served our country.

Highway Superintendent Carmine Istvan would like to sincerely thank Brandon Knapp, Angel Sanchez, and David Lamoree for their hard work installing the banners and helping ensure our local heroes are honored in such a visible and respectful way.

We encourage everyone to take a moment as you pass by the banners to reflect on the stories and service they represent.

🚨❄️ Snow Ordinance in Effect – Town of Fishkill ❄️🚨

The Fishkill Snow Ordinance will be in effect Sunday Feb. 22nd at 2:00 PM through Monday Feb. 23rd at 2:00 PM.

🚫 No parking will be permitted on any Town roads during this time. Vehicles left on the roadway may be ticketed or towed to allow plows to safely and effectively clear the streets.

We strongly urge all residents to stay off the roads during this time. Forecasts are calling for possible blizzard conditions, high winds, and heavy snowfall, with accumulations of over 12 inches possible.

Please plan ahead, check on neighbors, and allow our Highway Department crews the space they need to keep our roads safe.

Stay safe, Fishkill! ❄️

Our Highway crews are still hard at work cleaning up after the snow storm. We are asking all residents with fire hydrants on their property to do their part by clearing 3 feet on all sides. Clear hydrants mean faster access during emergencies, when every second counts.
