The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New England District will host an open house on June 12, 2025, in Sturbridge, MA, to share details on a draft revision of the 1998 East Brimfield Lake Master Plan and the 1998 Conant Brook Dam Master Plan.

In alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5400.17 and recent Executive Orders issued by the President, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District has reviewed and adjusted its social media content to ensure compliance with DoD policies and priorities. As a result, certain posts have been removed, are in a process of being removed, or modified to maintain consistency with federal guidance and uphold the integrity of our official communication channels. Content will be archived in accordance with DA PAM 25–403.

Quite a bit of ice has melted so we have opened the main gate. Get outside and enjoy the warmer temps!!!

The main gate has been closed due to icy road conditions. Please be careful if venturing out onto the trails. It’s extremely icy!

Deer hunting season is in full swing and runs through the rest of December. USACE property at Conant Brook Dam is open for hunting. Wearing bright colors such as blaze orange is important for all users, whether you’re a hunter or simply walking the trails. Don’t forget to make sure that your pets are visible as well!

Wearing blaze orange has helped dramatically reduce hunting-related fi****ms incidents in the field.

Please be reminded that use off-highway vehicles including ATVs, dirt bikes, and UTVs is prohibitied on all recreational trails at Conant Brook Dam.
