FPL is accepting donations during the month of June! Items donated will help us stock our Civic Days Book Sale at the Block Party. A donation bin is located in our lobby for easy drop-off during library hours.

We are pleased to announce a partnership with MassWildlife's "Hooks & Books" program, making fishing kits available for area residents to borrow!

Five fishing kits are now available as part of FPL's growing Library of Things. These kits include a fishing rod & reel, tackle box, and an information packet with fishing tips & a list of nearby fishing spots.

Kits can be borrowed by patrons ages 15+, with a reminder to get your fishing license at https://www.mass.gov/how-to/buy-your-freshwater-fishing-license before you go. Or, take advantage of this weekend's Free Freshwater Fishing Weekend (June 6-7, 2026), when you can fish in lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams throughout Massachusetts without a fishing license.

To borrow a fishing kit, stop by the Circulation Desk to request one. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Cardholders can borrow up to 2 kits at a time, for a period of one week.

Full library hours:
Monday-Thursday: 9am-8pm
Friday: 9am-5pm
Saturday: 9am-1pm
