The Way of The Arc Fundamental #8: Honor Commitments by Zachary DuBois
When I think about honoring commitments, the first thing that comes to mind is being someone others can count on. In life, I’ve learned that the people who truly matter are often the ones who are dependable and follow through when they say they’re going to do something.
To me, honoring your commitments means being honest, staying true to your word, and following through even when it might be easier to slack off. It takes more character to be truthful and dependable than it does to make excuses or simply say what people want to hear. You can’t always please everyone, but you can always try your best and stay true to yourself. At the end of the day, honoring commitments means doing your best, being someone others can count on, and continuing to hold yourself to the kind of person you want to be.
