It’s not everyday that we get to make a connection with a patient that we saved!

Paramedic Richard(pictured) was visited by a patient that her and Paramedic Palmer(not pictured) saved a while back. This patient was in cardiac arrest when crews arrived on scene.
Moments like these are the reason that we do what we do!

As the weather starts to warm up, we’re seeing more people out walking, jogging, biking, and enjoying the fresh air. ☀️🚶‍♂️🚴‍♀️

From an EMS perspective, this is a great time of year to get outside—but it’s also a reminder for drivers to stay extra alert on the roads!

🚑 A few quick safety reminders:
• Slow down in neighborhoods and busy areas
• Watch carefully at crosswalks and intersections
• Avoid distractions while driving
• Give pedestrians and cyclists plenty of space

And for those out walking or running:
• Wear bright or reflective clothing when possible
• Stay aware of traffic
• Use sidewalks and crosswalks whenever available

A little extra awareness can prevent accidents and keep everyone safe. Let’s all do our part to look out for each other as the community gets back outside! ❤️🚑🚒🚓💙

✔️ Choose a designated driver
✔️ Use Uber or Lyft
✔️ Pace yourself, hydrate, and eat
✔️ Don’t let friends drive impaired — take the keys
✔️ If you’re hosting, help guests get home safely

🚨URGENT WINTER ADVISORY

Alright, listen up everyone. The weather peeps are calling for upwards of 24 inches of snow, and we’ve already seen the frantic look in your eyes at the grocery store. You know the drill.

❄️ THE BREAD & MILK SITUATION
We aren’t sure why, but apparently as soon as the first snowflake hits the ground, the entire state decides they need to buy loaves of bread and gallons of milk.

🛑 ESSENTIAL vs. NON-ESSENTIAL TRAVEL
It's not worth driving in this to go hang out with friends. It's worth driving in this if you need to go to the hospital, or work somewhere that's required to keep society functioning.

🚙 "BUT I HAVE ALL-WHEEL DRIVE!"
Cool. That just means you’ll get stuck in the ditch 20 feet further than everyone else. Gravity and 2 feet of snow do not care about your trim package. We dont want to have to take you out of a ditch on a backboard.

📋 THE PLAN:
✅ Stay home and watch the Pats crush the Broncos
✅ Eat the mountain of bread and milk you just bought.
✅ Wear your Drake Maye pajamas.

It is with profound sadness that we inform you that Mark Olson, EVP/COO of MedStar, passed away on December 30th, 2025 surrounded by family. Mark succumbed to injuries sustained from a serious motor vehicle accident, while in Arizona on Christmas Eve.

Please pray for his family and friends during this difficult time. Mark was a devoted father, great friend, colleague and mentor. He will be missed dearly💙❤️
