This Thankful Thursday, we're incredibly grateful for all the supporters who helped our Rodman Ride team EXCEED their goal by over $2,000!

Every dollar of this support benefits the LUK Mentoring program, which pairs caring, responsible, positive role models with youth in Central Massachusetts. Mentoring relationships improve youths' school attendance, their participation in extracurriculars, and their self esteem. Mentors give Mentees a place to talk and just be themselves while having fun, and your support sustains these friendships. Thank you for helping us continue this important work!

It's International Overdose Awareness Day 💜

Today is about spreading awareness and learning about how we can help prevent overdoses in our communities.

LUK's Overdose Lifeline training equips individuals with essential skills to respond to opioid overdoses effectively. Participants learn how to recognize the signs of overdose, administer naloxone, and provide life-saving support until medical help arrives. The training empowers communities to combat the opioid crisis by enabling swift and informed responses to overdose emergencies.

This is an incredible accomplishment, and we wish you all the best as you take on your next chapter!

We would also like to extend a big thank you to our funder, the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), whose support has made these opportunities possible for our apprentices. Through this partnership, apprentices have gained hands-on professional experience, connected with DDS sites, and met other Summer UYC programs from across Massachusetts. We are incredibly grateful for their continued support in making Summer UYC such a meaningful experience for our youth.

🫂 About QPR Su***de Prevention:
QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) is a simple and effective su***de prevention training for community members who are 16 or older. Learn how to recognize warning signs of su***de, how to ask someone if they’re thinking about su***de, how to persuade them to get help, and how to refer them to the right support. Just like CPR or First Aid, QPR is a way for community members to make a difference and help save lives. Participants are certified in QPR upon completion of the training.
