Nice work Student Officer Johnson!

This evening was our intern Ronan Johnson’s last day. Ronan is a senior at Fitchburg State University in their criminal justice program. He will be graduating in December and will be attending the Fitchburg State University Academy in May. He resides in Rutland and works at Lilac Hedge Farm in his spare time.

Last week the 9th was able to learn about specialized police roles, with Fitchburg Police Officer Kaddy and K-9 Atlas, Crash Recon investigator Sgt. Teague. We were also able to tour the Worcester County House of Corrections, thanks to Capt. Locke and his team for giving us so much insight.

Today the 9th had a breakout session with Fitchburg Police SRO Pennetti. They were able to learn about the school resource officer role here in Fitchburg. Thank you to the Fitchburg Police Department for making this possible for our class!
