Spotlight on Wendy Carlos for Women's History Month.
Born in Pawtucket RI, Carlos learned to play the piano at an early age. She attended Brown University and earned dual degrees in Music and Physics and a Masters in Music Composition from Columbia. She created film scores for The Shining, Tron and A Clockwork Orange. Carlos holds the title of the first transgender recipient of a Grammy Award and has done solar eclipse photography with some of her work published by NASA.
