Congratulations to Will and Clarissa Tant along with their daughter, Eleanor, the owners of 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐚𝐭 𝟒𝟎𝟒 𝐒. 𝐎𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐯𝐝. for being selected as September's CRA Beautification Award recipients.

The award sign was presented by CRA Director, Casey Ryan, in the renovated courtyard of their new business. Keep an eye out for even more improvements as they continue to complete projects at the site.

Will your property be next? Businesses and residents within the CRA District are eligible for consideration, with recipients selected monthly by the CRA Advisory Board. Keep up the great work beautifying our District!

To improve stormwater drainage along South 17th Street to enhance neighborhood infrastructure and reduce flooding, swale work will begin September 4th.

Please avoid parking vehicles in or near swales during the installation period.

Temporary equipment and crews will be present in the area.
Work is expected to be completed promptly with minimal disruption.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we continue to maintain and improve our community’s stormwater systems.

In light of the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Engineering and Operations Memorandum No. 26-01, in reference to the removal of license plate readers from within any portion of their right-of-way, the Flagler Beach Police Department will comply and remove all equipment within the 30-day window.

Pier Update: The Pier project continues to progress. Each bent is made up of at least 4 piles, those long white concrete structures being pounded deep into the sea bed. Once the piles are secured, caps made of concrete and rebar are added to the top of the piles. Stringers, also made of reinforced concrete, are added between caps to create the base for the deck that users will walk on.

You can see that the structures for hand rails are already being added to each bent.

In the next few month, you can expect to see the trestle, that mostly metal work structure next to the Pier, being removed.
